JAG Nevada Welcomes Alumna as Specialist 

Hello everyone! My name is Justyce, and I am so excited to join the JAG Nevada Specialist Team! I am a Las Vegas native and a first-generation college student. I attended Central State University, an HBCU in Ohio, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Education. I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher and work with young people, and I am passionate about creating positive experiences that help students recognize their potential.

One of the things that makes joining JAG Nevada so special to me is that I am a proud JAG alumna from Western High School! JAG was a meaningful part of my own high school experience, so being able to come back and serve students through the program feels like a full-circle moment. I am excited to give back to a program that was once there for me, connect with students in my community, and encourage them to dream big and believe in themselves. I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings!

JAG Nevada Youth Attend Leadership Academy

JAG Nevada students from area schools will begin attending the Al Davis | Eddie Robinson Leadership Academy's Passport to Excellence Sept. 24.

Leadership Experience:

Juniors and seniors attend breakout sessions and meet with representatives from 25 partner organizations and leave with a real 'next step' after graduation. 

Sessions include:

- Getting the Keys: Applications, enrollment and the paperwork that opens the door to college, trade school, apprenticeships or military service. 

- Money Moves: Banking basics, budgeting and credit. 

- Self-Leadership: Goal setting, accountability, personal brand and good habits to carry past graduation.

- Workplace Etiquette: Interviews, professional communication, dress and surviving the first 90 days on the job. 

The Al Davis Eddie Robinson Leadership Academy is committed to building inclusive pathways to leadership across the sports industry by expanding access to career opportunities for individuals historically excluded from the field.
